Leadership is an important skill for many successful business men and women.  Leadership is not just about being bossy, it is about an all round development of skills.  Some are natural born leaders and some develop over time.

Dreamwall are a charity that notice young leaders early on and help to develop leadership skills and realise potential.

For two years, the Dreamwall team have been urging our Year 9 and 10 students to take part in their course, which is designed to push them to their limits, break down barriers and to make them do activities they never thought they would do.  This was all done in the New Forest.

leadership1While students were on the trip, they took part in activities designed to take them out of their comfort zone.  Activities like, walking through bogs, rivers, team games and much more.

“These activities seemed pointless at first, but then we all understood it’s not what we do, it’s how we do it”

The solo walk was an activity that seemed to be a big challenge to some, but easy to others.  The aim of the activity was to walk 1.5 kilometres on our own in the pitch black through trees and fields.

“In my eyes, this made me fell more confident after you reach the finish point”

Students were given many more challenges that would test physically and mentally.
