Rushey_Green_and_Athelney_15_March_2012_20Our Year 7 students were taught how to deliver the challenge by our Year 11 students in the previous week, so they were fully prepared to present and support the challenge.  These Year 7 students have become fantastic ambassadors for Conisborough College.

All of the primary students had a great time and we saw some brilliant and original bridges made out of paper straws that could hold over 3.0kg with a 1metre span!

STEM challenges helps to raise awareness about careers in STEM and helps raise attainment by challenging students to apply what they have learned in their Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths lessons and apply it to real life situations through problem solving.

Problem solving helps all of our students become more innovative and entrepreneurial.

Thank you to all the primary school students and staff that took part in this challenge. (Rushey Green, Athelney & Downderry).  You all performed amazingly well and we look forward to welcoming you at Conisborough as Year 7 students.
